PASA strongly believes that collaborative approaches to education work best for both youth and their educators. PASA works closely with both District school teachers as well as community-based educators from nearly 100 organizations across the city. Teachers who participated in PASA's AfterZone Summer Scholars Program remarked that gaining hands-on, inquiry-based teaching skills gave them a sense of flexibility and renewed excitement for teaching and created an atmosphere of greater student engagement, while collaborative teaching methods built a strong professional cross-district community.

To facilitate a spirit of cross-organizational and cross-discipline collaboration and community building, PASA offers a wide array of professional development opportunities throughout the year.
