City Symposium

May 9 – May 10, 2017

Every year the Providence After School Alliance (PASA) holds a two day City Symposium for cities and regions interested in learning about or replicating our middle school model we call the AfterZone.  Over 40 cities have attended and headed home with ideas for starting or expanding their own middle school model, establishing a management intermediary, and seeing what it takes to get the non-profit and public sector community to embrace a set of standards and practices that motivates high youth participation. In 2017, we hosted colleagues from Tacoma, WA; Tulsa OK; New York, NY; New Britain, CT; Woonsocket, RI; and Worcester MA!
