PASA Issues Request for Proposals for Winter/Spring, 2012 Program Grants

 

To help build a system of high-quality after-school programs for Providence middle school youth, PASA announces the availability of AfterZone program grants in the five of the AfterZone sites across the city.
 
In partnership with our AfterZone site management agencies – Boys & Girls Club of Providence (Roger Williams Middle School), John Hope Settlement House (DelSesto Middle School), Providence Housing Authority (Esek Hopkins Middle School), and West End Community Center (Gilbert Stuart Middle School) - and through the generous support of the Wallace Foundation, the RI Department of Education's 21st Century Community Learning Centers and other funders, we are able to offer individual grants up to $3,500 for the 10-week Winter session and up to $2,500 for 6-week Spring session.
 
Eligible applicants are: community organizations, individual program providers with an organizational fiscal sponsor, and for-profit entities. All applicants must be in good financial standing and must provide PASA and its partners with proof of liability insurance before commencement of programming.
 
Current Providence Public School teachers are encouraged to apply.

Nathan Bishop Middle School
Roger Williams Middle School  
 
Applications must be submitted through the online system by November 4, 2011at 11:59 PM Eastern Time

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SESSIONS

 

Technical Applicants for AfterZone Program Funding Grants are strongly encouraged to attend the following technical assistance sessions for the Winter & Spring 2012 AfterZone Session. PASA staff will review the request for proposals for each of the grants and answer questions from grantees. It is highly recommended that new grantees attend one of the sessions.
