Students are eligible to earn digital badges through their participation in a PASA ACN course. A digital badge represents a student’s achievement in a set of skills that are tied to an ACN course’s rubric. The badge itself is an electronic link to a certificate that shows what the badge represents and what work the student did to earn the badge. Once earned, a student can share their badge electronically, including uploading it to job applications, resumes and college applications.

Students who are Providence residents and earn digital badges will earn priority placement for summer jobs through the City of Providence’s Office of Economic Opportunity.

A variety of summer youth employment opportunities are made available each year through Workforce Solutions to over 500 Providence youth. With this badge youth will qualify to be first in line for one of several career–oriented positions offered by a host of exciting community organizations and businesses. Students who earn badges and are not Providence residents will receive a recommendation letter from the City of Providence for summer employment through their local workforce board.
