The Carnegie Corporation of New York and the Institute for Advanced Study have partnered to launch a new site, Opportunity Equation, to mobilize around the recommendations of the 2009 report, The Opportunity Equation: Transforming Mathematics and Science Education for Citizenship and the Global Economy. Their goal is to ensure that all students — not just a select few or those fortunate enough to attend certain schools — achieve much higher levels of math and science learning.
Their goal for new content is to inform and inspire comprehensive change and engage the audience best positioned to move the report’s recommendations forward.
