Fall 2011 AfterZone Program Grants

To help build a system of high-quality after-school programs for Providence middle school youth, PASA announces the availability of program grants in the three AfterZones across the city: North End/East Side, and Olneyville & West End/South Side.

In partnership with our AfterZone site management agencies – Boys & Girls Club of Providence (Roger Williams Middle School), John Hope Settlement House (DelSesto Middle School), Providence Housing Authority (Esek Hopkins Middle School), and West End Community Center (Gilbert Stuart Middle School) – and through the generous support of the Wallace Foundation, the RI Department of Education’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers and other funders, we are able to offer individual grants up to $3,500 for the 10-week Fall session.

Eligible applicants are: community organizations, individual program providers with an organizational fiscal sponsor, and for-profit entities. All applicants must be in good financial standing and must provide PASA and its partners with proof of liability insurance before commencement of programming.

Currently endorsed providers are invited to apply for Winter and Spring funding in addition to that for Fall programming.

Current Providence Public School teachers are encouraged to apply.
